Corps of Engineers extends comment period and schedules public meeting for Jacksonville Harbor Deepening Study

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announced today that the comment period for the draft report regarding the Jacksonville Harbor Deepening Study has been extended to October 24, 2013. A public meeting will be held Tuesday, September 24th at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal, to discuss recently updated information for the Jacksonville Harbor Deepening Study. [Read More]

Army Corps of Engineers waives fees on National Public Lands Day, Sept. 28

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will waive day use fees at its more than 2,400 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide in recognition of National Public Lands Day on Sept. 28. On this day, fees normally charged at boat launch ramps and swimming beaches will be waived. Locations in Florida include W.P. Franklin, Ortona and St. Lucie recreation areas. [Read More]
