  • Corps of Engineers seeks public review and comment for proposed maintenance dredging of Sawpit Creek

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, seeks public review and comment on its Environmental Assessment in regard to proposed maintenance dredging of the federally authorized Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) channel, settling basins and advance maintenance areas (AMA) in the waters of Sawpit Creek, the Amelia River and Nassau Sound, Florida. Comments must be received by Nov. 4, 2022, for consideration.
  • Miami Harbor maintenance dredging assessment is out for review

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces a draft environmental assessment and proposed finding of no significant impact for the operation and maintenance dredging and dredged material placement for the Miami Harbor Navigation Project inner harbor, Miami-Dade County. The draft information is available for public, state and agency review and comment starting today, July 18, and ending Aug. 19, 2019.

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers extends public comment period on proposed Lemon Bay Cove project through June 4

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will continue to receive public comments on the proposed Lemon Bay Cove project in Charlotte County through June 4. Lemon Bay Cove LLC. had applied to the Corps for a Department of the Army permit to fill nearly two acres of jurisdictional tidal saltwater forested mangrove wetlands to construct a 12-residence community.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers extends public comment period on Via Verde draft Environmental Assessment

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District has extended the public comment period on the draft Environmental Assessment for the proposed natural gas pipeline project known as Via Verde. The originally announced comment period was due to close on December 30; however, in response to public requests, comments will be accepted through January 30, 2012.
