Duval County shore protection project starts soon

Duval County beach visitors will soon see work on local beaches that will improve the coastal area’s resiliency and reduce risk to infrastructure. The Duval County Shore Protection Project will place roughly 700,000 cubic yards of sand on seven miles of eroded beaches, including Jacksonville, Neptune and a portion of Atlantic Beach. [Read More]

Fight invasive species at First Coast Air Potato Roundup February 28

First coast residents can fight invasive species by participating in the 9th Annual First Coast Air Potato Roundup Saturday, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. – noon in Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding area. Duval County Beach Project completed ahead of schedule
