  • Army Corps Announces Administrative Fee Changes

    Beginning January 1, 2020, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division, will implement a revised administrative fee schedule resulting in a total cost of $835 for a dock and land based facilities at its reservoirs and along certain federal waterways in the Southeastern United States.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces awarding the second Jacksonville Harbor Deepening contract (Contract B) to Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLC, of Oak Brook, Illinois. The Corps awarded the base contract Sept. 24 in the amount of $113,167,400 with a total contract value of $209,813,750.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hosts community meeting for Big Fishweir Creek project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will host a community meeting Thursday, September 20 at Willowbranch Branch Library, 2875 Park St., Jacksonville, Fla. 32205. A poster session/meet and greet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. followed by a formal presentation at 6:30 p.m. The public will have an opportunity for comment after the presentation.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District commander signed a project partnership agreement with the City of Jacksonville for the Big Fishweir Creek Aquatic Restoration project June 7. With the signed agreement, the project now moves into the design and permitting phase.

  • Corps awards Jacksonville Harbor Deepening contract

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces awarding the first Jacksonville Harbor Deepening contract to The Dutra Group of San Rafael, Calif. The Corps awarded the contract late yesterday in the amount of $22,826,400. Contract “A” is the first of multiple construction contracts that will deepen the existing Federal navigation channel, from its current authorized depth of 40 feet to 47 feet.
