  • The Corps of Engineers announces a new programmatic Biological Opinion (JaxBo)

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District Regulatory Division, received a new Programmatic Biological Opinion (PBO), referred to as ‘JaxBO,’ from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to address consultation requirements for certain activities that may affect federally listed threatened and endangered species occurring throughout the State of Florida, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. JaxBo was issued Nov. 20.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to host two Regulatory meetings in U.S. Virgin Islands

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host its final Regulatory Division Open House Wed., Sept. 3 at 8:30 a.m. at the Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library, 4607 Tutu Park Mall, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The Corps will also host a public meeting Thurs., Sept. 25 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Charles. W. Turnbull Regional Library to discuss the permit application by Coral World, Inc. for construction of a nearshore dolphin exhibit enclosure and landside support and visitor education center.

Doors open at 8 a.m. and a series of presentations begins at 8:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will host two Regulatory Open House events in south Florida this week. The events will be held Wed., July 9 at Hawk’s Cay Resort Florida Keys, 61 Hawks Cay Boulevard, Duck Key, Florida and Fri., July 11 at Marriott Harbor Beach, 3030 Holiday Drive, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Each event begins at 8:30 a.m. with a series of presentations. The events are free and open to the public.
