  • Corps announces St. Lucie Inlet maintenance dredging award

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces the St. Lucie Inlet maintenance dredging contract award of $5,432,400 to Norfolk Dredging of Chesapeake, Va. The project consists of dredging shoal material from the St. Lucie Inlet to return the channel to its authorized depths.
  • Public meeting scheduled for Regional General Permit SAJ-114

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection will jointly host a public meeting to present information about the proposed Corps Regional General Permit (RGP) SAJ-114 and the corresponding DEP Ecosystem Management Agreement.   • Mile Point construction starts in January; boaters beware

    Starting in January 2016 and continuing through November 2016, Manson Construction Co. will construct the Mile Point Training Wall Reconfiguration Project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This project will reroute the navigable waters in the Chicopit Bay and the Inter-Coastal Waterway system.
