Corps awards Intracoastal Waterway, Ponce de Leon Inlet dredging contract

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a maintenance dredging contract for portions of the Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) and the Ponce de Leon Inlet in Volusia County June 15. The Corps awarded the $8.55 million contract to Cavache, Inc. of Pompano Beach Florida. Consolidating these dredging projects is anticipated to result in a cost savings of $1.5 million. [Read More]

St. Lucie Inlet Dredging Project update

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announced today that dredging operations continue without delays on the St Lucie Inlet Navigation Project. The work is in response to impacts from Hurricane Sandy’s passage in 2012, and is 100% federally funded under the Flood Control and Coastal Emergency (FCCE) program. [Read More]
