  • 2023 Update to the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Program’s Integrated Delivery Schedule - Release of Working Draft

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District invites partners, stakeholders, and the public to join us for the release of the Working Draft of the 2023 Update to the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration (SFER) Program Integrated Delivery Schedule (IDS). The 2023 SFER IDS will be released at the Public Engagement Workshop on September 6 and sponsored by the SFER Task Force. The IDS provides the roadmap for sequencing, planning, design, construction and operations of both federal and state projects related to Everglades restoration. The Task Force Sponsored Public Engagement Workshop on the 2023 Integrated Delivery Schedule (IDS) Update will be held in person with an option to attend virtually on Wednesday, September 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the South Florida Water Management District B-1 Governing Board Auditorium, 3301 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33406.

  • South Bay Boat Ramp closed temporarily April 12 and 13 due to construction

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces that the boat ramp at the South Bay Recreation Area will be closed temporarily on Monday, April 12 and Tuesday, April 13, 2021, due to cutoff wall construction on the Herbert Hoover Dike.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District awarded a contract on Jan 26 to Eastman Aggregate Enterprises, LLC of Lake Worth, Florida, for $14,040,069.05, for the Sunny Isles Beach shoreline renourishment project, part of the Miami-Dade County Beach Erosion Control and Hurricane Protection Project.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Jacksonville District hosted a groundbreaking ceremony today at the S-333 water control structure in western Miami-Dade County, bringing together members of the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force to celebrate the first contract for the Central Everglades Planning Project, a project designed to improve flows south to Everglades National Park.

  • Corps of Engineers awards latest contract for the Rio de la Plata project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $9.47 million Articulated Concrete Block Mat and Toe Key contract, May 12, to Construcciones José Carro S.E., headquartered in Ponce, Puerto Rico. This contract is part of a phased approach to flood risk management actions being constructed as part of the Rio de la Plata Flood Control Project, in the municipalities of Dorado and Toa Baja.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, announces the approval of a planned temporary deviation to the 1981 Lake Kissimmee, Hatchineha and Cypress Interim Regulation Schedule. Major General Diana Holland, Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division, approved the planned deviation to raise the regulation schedule to facilitate Kissimmee River Restoration Project (KRRP) construction through June 1, 2021.
