Mile Point Training Wall Relocation/Reconfiguration

Jacksonville, Fla. – Starting in January 2016 and continuing through November 2016, Manson Construction Co. will construct the Mile Point Training Wall Reconfiguration Project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This project will reroute the navigable waters in the Chicopit Bay and the Inter-Coastal Waterway system.

Several changes will occur in the waterway, including removing some existing navigable waters. Large dredging equipment in the waterway during construction will also affect navigation. The Corps asks boaters to please remain vigilant, especially during hours of darkness. Safety is the Corps’ and Manson’s number one priority.

For more project information, please contact the Corps’ Jacksonville District at 904-432-2389 or go to www.saj.usace.army.mil and click ports in the right column. For a navigation emergency, please contact the U.S. Coast Guard at 904-564-7513.
