Miami-Dade Back Bay Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study public meeting set

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and non-Federal Sponsor, Miami-Dade County, invite the public to attend an informational public meeting on the Miami-Dade County Back-Bay Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study.  

The Corps and county will host the meeting Sept. 10, from 5-7 p.m. at the North Shore Park & Youth Center located at 501 72nd Street, Miami Beach, FL 33141.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to learn more about the project alternatives and provide comments on the alternatives and the feasibility study.  The format of the meeting will be an informal open-house, where the public can attend any time during the meeting hours and staff from the Corps and Miami-Dade County will be available to answer questions.  The Corps plans to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement to evaluate environmental impacts from reasonable project alternatives and to determine the potential for significant impacts.
