Perez retirees and culminates impactful career with Jacksonville District
Jacqueline Keiser, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Project Manager presents Cynthia B. Perez with the Department of the Army Meritorious Civilian Service Award signed by U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Daniel H. Hibner, Commander, South Atlantic Division for her years of outstanding and faithful service to the nation during her retirement ceremony Oct. 24, 2022. The citation cited that as the Supplemental Program Manager, Programs and Project Management Division, Jacksonville District, from May 2020 to October 2022, Perez has been instrumental and a relentless warrior in the implementation of the Flood Risk Management projects with almost $4 Billion dollar value under the 2018 Bipartisan Budget Act and 2022 Disaster Recovery Supplemental Appropriations Act. This massive program provide protection for a 100-year flood event to hundreds of thousands of residents in Puerto Rico and promotes economic growth while protecting the environment. Perez’s exceptional leadership, expert management, tireless efforts and commitment to the Civil Works Program reflect great credit upon her, the Jacksonville District, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
