Operations & Maintenance

1. DESCRIPTION

The work consists of maintenance dredging the 38-foot slip basin at the U.S. Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island, Jacksonville, Florida.

Allocation for FY18 (USMC) $2,750,000

4. STATUS

Approximately 125,000 cubic yards is maintenance dredged every year. Dredged material is placed in the Dayson Island upland disposal area. Effort in FY18 includes condition surveys, plans and specifications, and award of the O&M dredging contract. The next maintenance event is scheduled for award in August 2018.
