1. DESCRIPTION

Christiansted Harbor, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, authorized by the River and Harbor Act of 1950, consists of an approach channel 25 feet deep and 300 feet wide from the Caribbean Sea to and including a turning basin 25 feet deep, approximately 600 feet wide, and 900 feet long.

4. STATUS

Pursuant to Section 355(a)(3), Water Resources Development Act of 2020, Public Law 116-260, the Corps, Jacksonville District will prepare a post authorization change report to re-evaluate the feasibility of re-authorizing the deauthorized portion of the Christiansted Harbor project. Allocated funds in FY23 will be used to establish a Feasibility Cost Share Agreement, which must be executed between the Army and the non-Federal sponsor. Upon execution of the agreement, allocated funds, to include non-federal matching funds, will be utilized to review/update permits, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and economic justification.
