1. DESCRIPTION

The work consists of maintenance dredging the 38-foot slip basin at the U.S. Marine Support Facility Blount Island, Jacksonville, Florida.

4. STATUS

Approximately 125,000 cubic yards is maintenance dredged every year. Dredged material is placed in the Dayson Island upland disposal area. Effort in FY21 includes condition surveys, plans and specifications, and award of the O&M dredging contract. The next maintenance dredging event is scheduled for award in July 2021. Work is scheduled for completion in December 2021.
