1. DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this study is to address protection of critical infrastructure, reduction of structure damages, and evacuation route protection in response to the risks and effects of coastal storms and associated impacts such as sea level rise, storm surge, and extreme wind and tidal effects.

4. STATUS

This study started its official three year timeline on 3 October 2018 with the initial scoping meeting and will conclude with a Chief’s Report on 8 October 2021. The Alternatives Milestone Meeting (AMM) was held on 15 January 2019.  An IPR to discuss the engineering aspects of the study and progress toward the Tentatively Selected Plan (TSP) was held on 29 April 2020. The TSP milestone was met on 8 May 2020 with the support of the Non-federal sponsor to move forward with the Coastal Storm Risk Management Study. PDT is completing the final report to submit package to SAD for review and approval.
